Rice Krispie Date Balls
3/4 square butter or margarine (melt in fry pan)
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flake coconut
pinch salt
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups pitted dates, cut fine
Put all ingredients in frying pan with butter that has been melted. Stir in constantly until dates are dissolved. Remove from heat, put in large mixing bowl and cool. Add 1/2 c. chopped walnuts and 1 1/2 cup rice krispies. Roll teaspoon fulls in coconut. Refrigerate on cookie sheet.
