Apricot Bars 
Bake at 375        

3 c flour                                                                       
2 c brown sugar
3 c oatmeal                                                                  
1 ½ c  butter
2 t baking powder                                                        
 2 c apricot jam
½ t salt                                                                            
 (1 pt. jar)

Mix dry ingredients together, and then add sugar and butter.  Mixture will be crumbly.  Reserve 1 ½ cup of this mixture for topping.  Pack remainder of mixture firmly into a large rimmed cookie sheet.  Spread jam over the top of mixture-almost to the edges.  Sprinkle reserved crumbs over jam.  Bake 20 -25 minutes  When cool cut into squares
